My Reviews on Select City Walk -Saket,Delhi

Last weekend, we went to SELECT CITY WALK, mall in Saket, Delhi, a pretty famous mall to visit. As was heard, this mall was really huge and definitely eye catcher. We got down at Saket Metro station thinking it’s the closet metro station to the mall, would be at walk able distance but no this was not the case. After walking for a while, we decided to hire Auto for Rs.25 after lot of bargaining from Rs.30,As what usually happens if your R&D is not robust, one will have to pass through all these situations. Finally we reached in the mall, First thing we wanted to do was to have lunch as we were a bit hungry after a long journey of 1 hr :). SO we started searching for food court and all possible food joints so that we could choose the best meal for our Lunch. It took us quite a while to find food court... all credit goes to such a huge Mall. Out of various varieties of dishes we selected Sizzlers (Paneer shiskla).. Contrary to our expectation quantity of food was less, pretty tasteless..all we get to eat was boiled vegetables although the price was quite high? What comes next was much awaited window shopping, definitely enjoyed a lot.We got to see some brands which are available only in this Mall which brought toys for kids from Paris, homemade cosmetics etc. Although we were in window shopping mode we actually ended up doing real shopping.

You know what its Malviya Nagar Metro station which is nearest to this Mall not saket :) this we got to know when we took an auto to come back to home.

In all it was a day full of fun.
All this could happen because of commencement of metro link between Qutab Minar and Central secretariat.
Thanks to DMRC .

My Review on Kingdom of Dreams Gurgaon

I had heard lot about this place and so many ads of it made it so obvious for me to visit this place once. So after doing little bit of R&D about the place, I and my friend decided to visit this on last weekend. I started my journey at 11 a.m. in the morning after having my breakfast knowing in advance that this place opens at 1 p.m. Thanks to my little bit of R&D. We reached at the destination on time at 1 p.m. See how important it is to do little bit of R&D before visiting the place; it makes things fall in place. We used metro train to reach to this place as it was near to “IFFCO Chowk” metro station. From metro station we took rikshaw for Rs.20 to the destination, although it was at walking distance from metro distance, it was not in our knowledge before reaching there. As we entered the kingdom, our first task was to take entry ticket, which turned out to be of Rs.750 each including Rs.100 as Entry Fee and Rs.600 for food which is compulsory to spend on the same day inside the kingdom, a way to make you spend at least Rs.700 in the kingdom. Yup Rs.50 is refundable kept as security of the card, which brings some cheers to face at the time of buying of ticket. On Weekday from Monday to Friday, the same journey would cost you only Rs.500. Cool yah !!
As what usually happens, we started viewing this place taking lot of snaps and videos; yup this place is full of wonderful views, so do carry good camera and fully charged battery. We found this place very beautiful, amazing, awesome etc. in short blend of all Indian cultures at one place. Yup bit expensive but worth for one time visit. After roaming for a while we decided to have our lunch. So many varieties were available here that it was bit confusing to decide on which one we should go for? As we always find Punjabi food to be the good choice to have good heavy meals, we went for it. We took 1 Kadai Paneer for Rs250, 1 kashmere Naan and 1 Kulcha worth Rs.60 each. Quantity is good enough for 2 people. Food was delicious and on the top of it we were hungry so we enjoyed it very much. Addition to this, we got to sit on the “Khat”, which brought us feeling of relaxation. Still we felt a bit tired. This may be because we were so enthusiastic and existed to see this place, that we used almost all of our energy in just first two and a half hrs. After that we enjoyed many sips of Masala Tea of Rs.50 having 7 spices of India. Now we had covered almost everything and still we were left with ample time to spend here, you know what how I utilized this time is by writing this nice article of my experience here. What this place comprises of : Lal Quila of Delhi,Truck from Punjab,Train from Mumbai, ”Nawabi thhaat” from Lucknow , beach of Goa, Huts of Kerela, temple of Chennai, Karnataka, Orissa giving feeling of South India.Addition to this some there were some entertaining shows going on from time to time like Rajasthani Dance , Juggling show, Sambhapuri dance, Jugli dance… To cheer up the kids 2 people dressed up in costumes like monkeys were also there who were showing typical monkey harkatein. Kids were enjoying pulling up their tails and running after them.Apart form that there wasn’t much for kids, this is the only part I felt was missing there. For youth or young generation 2-3 bars were also present there to chill out.Now how can I miss such important things, Variety of shopping arcade for gals? Shopping stores displaying famous items(bangles , shawls costing upto Rs.50000,purse,paiting,kitchen items like dinner set, Tea cups etc.,jewellery, clothes ) from every state. Which keeps gals happy and high J. Me also couldn’t stop myself from indulging into shopping, I also gave try to Pathani Kurta, no doubt was looking cool :).Adding to above excitement, luckily we also get to see “Rakhi Sawant” there just from 4 feet. She came there for Star Plus interview. We also shot her video. Finally after having complete fun the entire day, we decided to leave from there, but we missed 1 thing , that’s returning of the Entry Card which we got at the time of buying Entry Ticket thinking that it would be returned at the exist gate. No, I was wrong, after exiting from there we came to know that there was 1 Rajasthan counter, where it was to be returned. So we took U turn and made entry from the Exist Gate after explaining the situation to the guard at the exist gate. Got our refund back, Happy Ending :).

Install Love on the HUMAN Computer!!!

Customer: I really need some help. After much consideration, I've decided to install LOVE. Can you guide me through the process?
Tech Support: Yes, I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?
Customer: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready to install it now. What do I do?
Tech Support: The first step is to open your HEART. Have you located your HEART?
Customer: Yes, I have, but there are several other programs running right now. Is it okay to install while they are running?
Tech Support: What programs are running?
Customer: Let's see... I have PAST-HURT.EXE, LOW-ESTEEM.EXE, GRUDGE.EXE, and RESENTMENT.EXE running now.
Tech Support: No problem. LOVE will gradually erase PAST-HURT.EXE from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory, but it will no longer disrupt other programs. LOVE will eventually overwrite LOW-ESTEEM.EXE with a module of its own called HIGH-ESTEEM.EXE. However, you have to completely turn off GRUDGE.EXE and RESENTMENT.EXE. Those programs prevent LOVE from being properly installed. Can you turn those off?
Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?
Tech Support: My pleasure. Go to your Start menu and invoke FORGIVENESS.EXE. Do this as many times as necessary until it's erased the programs you don't want.
Customer: Okay, now LOVE has started installing itself automatically. Is that normal?
Tech Support: Yes. You should receive a message that says it will stay installed for the life of your HEART. Do you see that message?
Customer: Yes, I do. Is it completely installed?
Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other HEARTs in order to get the upgrades.
Customer: Oops. I have an error message already. What should I do?

Tech Support: Can you pull down the directory called "SELF-ACCEPTANCE"?
Customer: Yes, I have it.
Tech Support: Excellent. You're getting good at this. Now, click on the following files and then copy them to the "MYHEART" directory: FORGIVE-SELF.DOC, REALIZE-WORTH.TXT, and ACKNOWLEDGE-LIMITATIONS.DOC. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching any faulty programming. Also, you need to delete SELF-CRITICISM.EXE from all directories, and then empty your recycle bin afterwards to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.
Customer: Got it. Hey! My HEART is filling up with new files. SMILE.MP3 is playing on my monitor right now and it shows that PEACE.EXE, and CONTENTMENT.EXE are copying themselves all over my HEART. Is this normal?
Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes a while, but eventually everything gets downloaded at the proper time. So, LOVE is installed and running. You should be able to handle it from here. Ah, one more thing.
Customer: Yes?
Tech Support: LOVE is freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everybody you meet. They will in turn share it with other people and they will return some similarly cool modules back to you.
Customer: I will! Thanks for your help!

How to stay awake in meetings?

Do you keep falling asleep in meetings and seminars? What about those long and boring conference calls? Here's a way to change all of that.

1. Before (or during) your next meeting, seminar, or conference call, prepare yourself by drawing a square. I find that 5' x 5' is a good size. Divide the card into columns - five across and five down. That will give you 25 one-inch blocks.

2. Write one of the following words/phrases in each block:

synergy
revisit
benchmark
fast track
touch base

strategic fit
expeditious
value-added
result-driven
mindset

core competencies
to tell you the truth (or 'the truth is')
proactive
empower (or empowerment)
client focus(ed)

best practice
24/7
win-win
knowledge base
paradigm

bottom line
out of the loop
think outside the box
at the end of the day
game plan

3. Check off the appropriate block when you hear one of those words/phrases.
4. When you get five blocks horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, stand up and shout 'BULLSHIT!'

Testimonials from satisfied 'Bull Shit Bingo' players:

'I had been in the meeting for only five minutes when I won.' - Adam, Atlanta

'My attention span at meetings has improved dramatically.' - David, Florida

'What a gas! Meetings will never be the same for me after my first win.' - Dan, New York City

'The atmosphere was tense in the last process meeting as 14 of us waited for the fifth box.' - Ben, Denver

'The speaker was stunned as eight of us screamed 'BULLSHIT!' for the third time in two hours.' - Paul, Cleveland
